#Belarusians
That 2020 protest couldn’t stop Lukashenko’s takeover, because Lukashenko had taken over almost 30 years earlier. I hope one day Belarusians will be successful, though.

I'm sure Transnistrians would be welcome to repatriate to Muscovy ("Just sign this military service contract here..").
What's also needed is for Belarusians to remember their own identity.

I missed this when the decision was taken on the final day of 2025.

The European Weightlifting Federation stripped Poland of the right to host its junior championships because they refused to give visas to Russians or Belarusians linked to the military (almost all the squad)

I'm thinking about the Belarusian word talaka - doing something together, a shared effort within the community. Language shapes reality, and is shaped by it. Watching the videos of Belarusians helping each other through the heavy snowfall feels like watching talaka in action in #Belarus

Residents voluntarily clear streets of snow, not because the regime forces them, but out of goodwill. They push stranded buses. People deliver groceries to seniors and even feed stray cats needing food amid the storm. Belarusians' solidarity never fails to inspire and motivate.

#Belarus I am in awe of Belarusians. Heavy snowfall has blanketed Belarus, yet solidarity shines through. A few examples. A train to Minsk stopped due to power failure, and people helped those stranded by driving them in cars or even taking them home.

Just having a routine of your own, going to the gym, or having a walk with a book is luxury.

Ask Ukrainians, Georgians, Iranians, Venezuelans, Belarusians, etc…

Tbf Belarusians and Iowans have a lot in common (potatoes).

I can’t get over all the journalists and centrist pundits who sneered that “Twitter isn’t real life” when it was full of weird leftists but now insist it’s a vital window into the public mood when the entire site is Nazis, illegal porn, bots, and Belarusians calling themselves “Iowa MAGA Farm Guy”
thinking about how long leftists were blamed for making twitter inhospitable for MPs who are refusing point blank to leave now it's full of nazis and child porn

may have inadvertently and finally cut off any conversational ties with my russian ex after telling her that i thought Belarusians answer the question of "What if Russians were more chill and approachable?"

I know there are many Russian weapons in Iran. As for Russians and Belarusians there, I do not know.
January 6, 2026 at 12:43 AM
Yes. Ukrainians and Belarusians suffered much more than Russians in WWII. Very similar to today. European Russias suffer way less than Asians that Putin considers most expendable.

Big difference is Putin wants to unite the Eastern Slavs again aka Belarusians, Ukrainians and Russians whereas Trump is trying to bring back imperialism and occupation to seize a country's resource e.g., Venezuela.

Like Ukrainians and Georgians and Belarusians.

And suffered official antisemitism.

Belarusians protested the elections of 2020 under threat of life.

Ukrainians were killed at Maidan.

Slovenians, Croatians and Bosnians died to escape Serbia’s retarded Greater Serbia fantasy.

Americans are complaining on social media.

I’m sure the vast majority of wine exported from occupied Ukraine goes to Russians or Belarusians or North Koreans or Armenians or Chinese. Let’s expose them all!
