There are crimes, heinous crimes, & war crimes. Then there are crimes against the biosphere & Mother Nature, which are actually the worst of all b/c they precipitate species extinction, mass death on a global scale, & literally unlivable conditions for myriad plants & animals including humans.
It's been a rough year for public health and the environment as we've witnessed rollback after rollback of clean air and climate protections. That's why we're calling for EPA head Lee Zeldin's resignation.

For decades, we've been paying (subsidizing) the petroleum industry, one of the most profitable industries in history, to the tune of tens of billions annually, in the USA alone. Globally, it's probably in the trillion-dollar range.
Enjoy your cheap gasoline while we wreck the biosphere.

Rule 6 :: The Harvest Stage

The final stage of a Tyranid invasion results in the total harvest of the planet's biosphere and other resources. During this time, special protections are revoked and any organisms on-site are considered viable biomass. To avoid death, leave quickly.

As a general rule, anytime you see BAU (business as usual) in an analysis around planetary boundaries and the engine of biosphere destruction, where there is an alternative to BAU if we take extraordinary steps, with rare exception do we do anything else but BAU while it is still an option.
