Mike Tomlin deserves to not have Big Ben be the best QB he’s ever coached.
I know more about the Steelers than I do about the Bills, but I think Mike Tomlin would thrive in that market and with that roster. His whole thing is making mediocre players good and good players great. Add in an MVP quarterback? Won't happen, but I think he'd be a great fit.

Congrats to Indiana University. They were a very disciplined team that was well coached. They earned the National Championship.

I’m sad my Hurricanes lost last night, but proud of the fact that they put up a good fight until the end.

Not sure what the future holds with portal moves & all…

The @sabres.com Alumni lost its oldest member over the weekend as Phil Goyette passed away over the weekend at age 92. Goyette, 16 yr NHL career included a stint with the Sabes in their Inaugural season. The oldest living Sabre now is Floyd Smith, who captained and also coached the Blue n Gold.

Fortunately, I've got great friends & mentors, people who have coached me &walked alongside me. I've learned from great #AcademicSky colleagues like @mirya.bsky.social & @thetattooedprof.bsky.social - & I'm feeling hopeful in my professional life for the first time in a while (despite all the awful)

Turns out that the comparative advantage of SEC wasn't that they had built better systems, developed players, and were better coached.

Turns out they were just closer to recruiting pools and players gravitate towards things they know. So Florida, Texas, and other Southern programs feed the SEC.

Gregg agreeing to kick things off with a match against Nashville, a team coached by a friend that had #cf97 's number last season?

Yeah I don't think he's got any interest in taking 2026 on "easy" mode.

Why the hand ringing over McDermott? Dude coached in one of the worst divisions in the league, if not the worst, had arguably the league‘s best quarterback, couldn’t win the big one

He coached scared against ND last year in the playoff, too.

Congratulations to IU. They showed why they were undefeated and had the Heisman trophy winner. Very well coached team.

I think there will be more battles than we've ever had. Its largely a clean slate to this coaching staff. The Wazzu guys he's coached would be the ones with an inside track. But I can't imagine there isn't going to be major evaluation. And probably changes after the season starts. #BlueCy

still so funny to me that Cignetti coached at Indiana University of Pennsylvania 10 years ago

I mean he said this prior to getting destroyed by Ohio State last year. And then he got out coached so badly in South Bend in the playoffs. He coached that game like he was scared.

Credit to him from learning from last year mistakes.

Yes, they paid players. But the lesson is they paid the RIGHT players

Go look at the battles they won for the best players on their team. Not a bunch of 4- and 5-star guys with dozens of offers. They didn’t “buy a title”

They targeted guys that fit them, coached the hell out of them and went 16-0

Seeing those rondos made my head hurt. Are these the same chumps we've been watching for the last couple of years?

They *can * pass to each other? WTF

Why didn't they before? Were they coached not to? Were they positioned to far apart? Or was it simply that city were a good opponent for us?

VraKuhr gotta be tempted to make Stidham uncomfortable out of the gate, but he's more poised than Stroud and better coached than Stroud and Herbert, so i think it'd smarter to start off vanilla and see if he can beat you before doing the riskier stuff

I've watched college football for 37 years, they are the best coached team I've ever seen. They make basically 1 mistake (penalty, turnover) per quarter

They lost 8 turnovers in 16 games. ONE FUMBLE
To some extent the "how to win like Indiana" playbook is new, sure. But a whole lot of other teams spent as much (or more) money, yet couldn't tackle as well, were capable of experiencing fear as mortals, etc. To win like Indiana you have to be really good at playing football

Truly terrible situation. If Busfield did this, he should pay dearly. If these kids were coached or manipulated into saying something false, the perpetrator of that scheme should pay dearly. Let justice be done, whatever that requires. #TimothyBusfield www.tmz.com/2026/01/19/t...
