#ELP's
I think Finlay been stepping this year but I definitely think he’s going to WWE with his dad and brother. I am wondering on ELP’s contract status, he is definitely I would like to see reunite with Jay soon

As a #music maniac I get into #Christmas mood by listening to some music. I have a collection of Hungarian folk songs, and also listen to #ELP's "I believe in Father Christmas".

Do you have any other non-mainstream song suggestions?

Ok, so maybe I didn't win with this combination, but I think this moment from @defynw.bsky.social should get me a shot at ELP's NJPW Television Championship. #wrestlesky

People say this album is what killed Prog as a popular mainstream movement but that’s ignoring the continued success of Yes, Peter Gabriel, Genesis and even Floyd who were still so big The Wall movie was yet to come. Anyway enjoy some of ELP’s finest to cleanse your ears. 8 years btwn this and that

Man, that would be tough. I'd have to start with my Prog so Moving Pictures by Rush. But that's a toss-up as A Trick of the Tail by Genesis, The Yes Album and ELP's Works Vol.1 would be purchased at thr same time.

Kinda starting to hate having outdated music taste. People try to show me stuff they're super enthusiastic about, I give it a shot, and I just don't connect with it.

Wanna get comfy with me and listen to the entirety of Tales from Topographic Oceans by Yes? Or maybe ELP's Trilogy?

ELP's take on Ginastera's Tocatta was amazing.

This is also why I think Procol Harum's songs are superior to a lot of ELP's stuff, because Keith Reid is simply a better lyricist than Peter Sinfield.

Or why Renaissance is underrated (their lyricist is top-notch).

ELP’s Lucky Man with Busty Roseline.

This is ok? ELP’s kinda cute with some of the BC tributes he sprinkles in & they seem to mesh pretty well, albeit the pacing is a bit janky & the end is a little underwhelming. But, it’s ok.

TY for sending the site showing the other Giger covers. I love his art. I'm also a fan of LP packaging.
ELP's Brain Salad Surgery is still a unique cover design.
I'm glad LP's are making a comeback of sorts. I buy both new & reissues to let it be known to the powers that be there is still demand 4em

This brought up a great memory (thanks Monica!):
At Rather Ripped, I bought ELP’s “Tarkus” album and Robin Trower’s “Bridge of Sighs”, because I liked the covers and they were like 50¢ each. I’d never heard of them before, but those records made me an instant fan!

Every once in a while I'm like, What is this and why? #XPNCountdown
(though now I see what this is, I could have easily voted for any- or everything from ELP's Pictures at an Exhibition)

So I’d did finally manage to include the synth sound from ELP’s “Lucky Man” and the Van Halen synth sound from 1984 in a song, at the same time.

If you're into listening to full albums (and prog rock is definitely conducive to that) I'd say the must-hears to start you off would be Jethro Tull's Aqualung, Wishbone Ash's Argus, ELP's Tarkus, The Yes Album, and Rush's 2112

May I be so bold as to introduce you to Van Der Graaf Generator's "H to He (Who Am The Only One)" and "Godbluff", King Crimson's "Larks Tongues In Aspic" and "Red", Strawbs' "Grave New World" and "Ghosts", ELP's "Brain Salad Surgery", and Yes' "Fragile" and "Close To The Edge"?

ELP’s “Karn Evil 9 3rd Impression” will always be a banger to me.

I am particularly taken by the lines “No man yields who flies in my ship” and “Let the bridge computer speak”. Very futuristic and spacey.

But, even more than the first 2 impressions, it really tells a story.

In Brittany, families are coming together to raise a new generation of speakers of Brezhoneg, an endangered Celtic language. But they’re not doing it alone - they’re learning from their friends in the Māori revival movement.

How did ELP’s Ready to Revitalize program help this happen? 🧵

R3k, clearly, one of the more established Jr teams out there, going for their 4th title reign with these belts.

And they work together with each other pretty well – BC have some quite neat & fun heat spots (mostly driven by ELP’s usual heel shenanigans) & the match flows together pretty well.

Blimey. ELP's Tarkus. That's one from the distant past. First year at secondary school. Must go and listen to it again. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂

Jeff I thought we was friends. You’ve desecrated ELP’s good name.

Red Hot Chili Peppers? Greg Lake and Keith Emerson are rolling in their graves.

I think I’ll play their live album now. Loud.

Top left is the Moody Blues' "The Magnificent Moodies", bottom left is ELP's "Love Beach". Both descriptions are bang on, too.

Jodorowski’s Dune. The artist was tied closely to HM Magazine, with several feature articles written about him there, and some other art of his being featured on the cover. One of his 1st major forays into the mainstream was when his work appeared on the cover of prog-rock band ELP’s 1973 album 2/3
