#Gender-Mismatch
My ID confused the fuck out of Patreon when they made me verify myself to have an adult creator account. My guess is the gender marker vs appearance in pic mismatch made it lock up because these things are never calibrated for tran folks. So fucking stupid.

Fair. But a lot of trans people don't give a crap about gender themselves. There are trans tomboys, trans nudists, trans people of various cultures. Transgenderism was forcefully used to shift to include gender incongruent people, and yet there's people who simply experience a brain-body mismatch.

Made a customer confused about my gender today with the ole appearance and voice mismatch. Felt good despite the misgender in the end, because like, I'm not out or really trying to present fem

A mismatch: Sexual frustration is a sense of dissatisfaction from the discrepancy between your desired and actual sexual activity.
Not a disorder: It is a common and normal experience that can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or relationship status.

Again, lies.Of course it’s normal to question in adolescence. But NO ONE in the medical field would ever equate questioning one’s gender w/ a need for surgery. The majority of trans individuals know by age 6 there is a mismatch between gender at birth&their experience. It’s not about teenage angst.

17/ He says the 2019 Gender Identity Policy included as more complex gender identities like genderfluid, gender queer or non-binary, and also boarder trans umbrella. He says there is a mismatch between the new signs and the 2019 Policy, therefore the signs must reflect a new policy.

gender dysphoria potentially carries other baggage, e.g., anatomy mismatch, that i'm not sure this song implicates (tho maybe use of the term doesn't always have to be anchored to every meaning it has ever had)

Different people may feel some action are more or less necessary. Some trans women feel they need facial feminization surgery. I did not. Some are fine not having bottom surgery. I *needed* it. But its all just helping alleviate that mismatch between gender and assigned sex.

Saying that your gender was always female does not change that it is a mismatch with your body. Being trans does not mean that your gender “changed”. It just means that it does not match your agab

All sorts of evidence-based features, including but not limited to a clear wish to be treated as that gender in social settings, evidence these features have been present consistently and persistently and not just isolated whim, potential distress/impairment from a mismatch.

You failed to notice I didn't say "become the gender." They already *are* that gender, body shape notwithstanding.

I'm hardly an expert, but I have a fair number of trans people in my life. This experience of a brain/body mismatch is what they all report.

More substantively, the mismatch between the framing of the two questions (sex is implied to be an authoritative documentary record, gender is a wishy washy self description) means that researchers will use the sex data if the ABS releases that information. They'll ignore gender. So I will lie.

For this purpose I'm using "gender dysphoria" to mean the mismatch between body's sex and the brain's subconscious sex that causes us to need to transition, as contrasted with body dysmorphia, which is something anyone can struggle with, and which can't ever really be fixed with cosmetic alterations

Nobody wants to talk about it. The discomfort of bathing an aging parent. The awkwardness when it's a gender mismatch. The question: if not me, then who?
Professional care is the answer.

Something similar happened to me in that my insurance claim kept being denied for a "demographic mismatch" which turned out that my health insurance considered me non-binary and my provider was submitting under gender marker F. It took a conference call between the provider and insurance to untangle

Stepping out of my skin for a moment.

This whole gender thing is crazy, right?? People talk about the mind-body connection, but have they considered it can connect differently? A connection of distress and confusion, never intended to exist. A mismatch made in heaven, forcing forbidden growth

X on your passport? Gender mismatch with a database somewhere? They don’t have to get all of us and they don’t care about who else gets caught up.

In case you thought the shutdown was the only thing making travel in 'hard mode', imagine trying to explain away a name/gender ID mismatch, leaving as one identity in one classification and returning as another on the same trip.

As you can imagine, their mom is on my speed dial just in case.

As the 2012 precedent with Eliana Rubashkyn in Hong Kong led to her detainment and sexual abuse in detention centers in Hong Kong due to a mismatch between her gender identity and official documents.

Dylan wears skirts because they’re gender affirming.
Chris NEVER wears skirts or dresses, they’re not her style.
Tori will wear anything, and will probably mismatch it with something else.
Tristen tends to wear pants, but she’ll wear a dress for a special occasion.
Aubrey almost always wears skirts.
Does your OC prefer to wear pants or skirts/dresses? 🩳 👗

and. and. Practically every psychiatrist and therapist you meet will consider being trans or Having Pronouns as a disorder even if you don't have gender dysphoria in your charts or whatever; it's more than that, it's treated as a mismatch with reality, a delusional behavior in its own right

A) You can’t diagnose gender dysphoria without knowing someone’s sex—because it’s defined as distress from a mismatch between sex and gender. Doctors look at how the body’s built: egg or sperm design. That setup doesn’t change, even if no gametes are made

...i pressed the button and got Tsareena. I mean, *could be worse* but uh. Gender mismatch moment 😭

Trans people don’t simply wish that they were a different sex or gender, they feel that there is a mismatch between their body-gender relationship experience and those around them. It is jarring, and in cases of severe dysphoria, can present with physical symptoms.
