I’ve sometimes fallen into the trap of thinking that complementing a creative person for their work is less sophisticated or desired than discussion or debate about it but very often the best thing you can say to them is hell yeah and that doesn’t make you dumb it just makes you nice

I used to think people didn't like my art because they thought it was bad or ugly...

I've been thinking,
I used to be a bit down on myself because I don't like to draw in the popular anime style. I used to think that it made it hard for me to find my audience
But I also never shifted to that style. Because it's not ME
