Last run before the Dirty German 50 miler is done! The last 2 weeks have been fraught with leg fatigue and mental doubt, but I’m heading into Saturday comfortable and confident. My goal time is 11 hours, which is significantly faster than my JFK50 time but after training feels within reach. #running

I am! I did JFK50 for the second time in Nov and am signed up for the Army 10 miler in 2025. I’ll put other stuff on the board but my goals this year are to improve fitness and get faster. Aiming to run 3x a week and do strength training 2x a week. I took a good break but got back into it this week

Yeah, most ppl have no idea how fast elite runners are over distance. David Sinclair ran 5:09 in the jfk50 miler last month on a mix of the AT, gravel path and roads. He's a skimo guy first and foremost which makes this run even nuttier.

My last race was the JFK50 in 2021. A few injuries (&COVID &lazy) have prevented me from training since. There’s a backyard ultra in Sept I’m thinking of doing it.
