Irish elk is the wrong name. It’s giant deer (Megaloceros giganteus). Elk and old world deer which giant deer are part of are separated in evolution by millions of years. ‘Irish elk’ used by Stephen Gould long time ago and unfortunately it stuck.It’s wrong scientifically & inaccurate

Fire/Water Type Pokémon based on Muscovy Ducks, Black-Necked Swans, the phoenix, and the representation Muscovy Ducks had of the Aztec Wind Deity, Ehecatl, of which the ducks feathers were used in Aztec headdresses in royalty. Noëlceros. A Psuedo-Legendary Ice/Fairy Pokémon based on the Irish Elk (Megaloceros), Reindeer, Christmas, and the Winter Solstice. Werewrath. A Grass/Dark Final Evolution of a Grass Starter Pokémon. Deep appreciation for this bit in Stephen Jay Gould's paper about Megaloceros antler and skull size where he's like "full disclosure, the measurements are probably a bit janky because it was fucking scary and physically weird to measure the things"
"Also contributing to what must be a high average of error of measurement is the extreme inaccessibility of some specimens. When perched atop dusty cases at Tring and the National Museum of Ireland, or upon rickety scaffolding in Edinburgh, the urge to completion may have overwhelmed the dictates of caution. In addition, many skulls are mounted high above the floor, with the underside of the upper jaw and palate flush against the wall. Dangling a tape between skull and wall to measure the basal skull length often required a major effort in acrobatics--a skill that does not come naturally to me."

We find the tiger inside of a cavern, his back turned on us, standing up in front of a wall covered in cave paintings of small cervids running under the gigantic shadow of a megaloceros head depiction. At his feet, a lantern illuminates several bone remains on the ground, all seemingly belonging to a long-extinct megaloceros specimen. And right next to the lantern, the light reveals a recently used bowl and mortar, filled with crushed bone powder. Looking back up to Ty, the scene becomes clear : the shapeshifter has come into contact with DNA from the megaloceros, and, through his transformative powers, has become to change into a majestic elk. His head and right side are completely transformed, covered in brown fur, creeping like goo over the rest of his body. The top of his head is already adorned with one of the characteristically immense elk antlers, the second one on its way to growing. The feline also already sports visible sexual changes, his ballsack hanging terribly low between his legs, while his newly flared pink cock emerges from behind him, almost as long as his arm. As he looks back towards the viewer, his shadow is cast shaprly on the wall by the bright light of the lantern, and melts into the cave painting on the wall, letting him truly embody the shape, mind, and history of the creature he sought to become. A fullbody painting of Taiki, the artist’s tanuki fursona, being turned into a horse latex drone inside of a scienfitic containment room. They’re depicted standing up, on their left profile, struggling to break free, but stopped by iron chains in the back of their head and tied wrists behind their backs, keeping them close to the wall. Shiny black latex goop is dripping in huge ropes from the ceiling, and has began covering the raccoon dog’s body ; their head is almost entirely covered in a black horse hood, complete with a harness and bridle, their nostrils and eyes are overflowing with the mysterious substance. The tanuki’s body is soon to follow suit, their multiple pairs of breasts sleekily adapting themselves to the cover of the latex as it flow down their belly, tail and legs, reaching their genitals. That, speaking of which, have been turned into a rather towering, fully erect horse penis and balls, donning the same shine as the new drone’s head. The new recruit is being toyed with and observed : several mechanical arms, as you’d see on a high-tech operating table, are working around the creature. One has a riding crop grafted onto it, and is slightly raising the equine’s chin up, to make them « look » into the surveillance camera a second arm is holding right above their eyes… Colored sketch of a woman, laying down on her back and transforming into an anthropomorphic borzoi by huffing her girlfriend's tank top. The scent seems to be really strong and enthralling, as her expression is no more than a vacant, drooling smile. Her transformation is well underway, as her tail has already fully formed itself and is wagging in excitement, while her face has completely shifted into a characteristic long muzzle with fluffy ears pulled back in bliss. Her left leg, the underside of her arms and her vagina have began growing a thick, off-white layer of fur, and no doubt the rest of her body will follow, as her belly is already starring 4 adorable pair of tiny nipples. The fur and transformed parts are colored in, but the skin of the body is left transparent, letting a background of textured pink geometric shapes appear and tint the piece with a rosy ambience.
