Ok, you got me. We can see Northhead from our house and I'd never heard of the tunnels. Just read all the personal accounts on that author's website... so what's the conspiracy? Have the big halls never been officially acknowledged?

Somehow I default to calling him Alfred White Northhead. My brain decided to automate it.

Devonport (can take ferry), walk up Northhead and explore the tunnels. Sit on the top and watch the boats. Down to Navy Museum (free last I checked).
Also Maritime Museum downtown. They do sailings sometimes?
