#Oxaloacetate
Well, the weird, spiking, headache has mostly ebbed away. Slept better than anticipated. Took an extra Oxaloacetate which helps, but minor heartburn. Still crashed, but not as poisoned feeling. A little progress. Still very out of it.

Takeaways from the A4M Conference in Las Vegas
Terra Biological recently attended the A4M conference in Las Vegas, where we spent several days speaking directly with physicians about Chronic Fatigue. In total, we connected with more than 400 doctors who are actively looking for better ways to understand, research, and support patients dealing with ongoing fatigue a

Australian Study Maps Linked Vascular, Immune, & Energy Changes in ME/CFS
A newly published, peer-reviewed study from Australia is shedding important light on the biological complexity of myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS). The research, led by scientists at Macquarie University and published in Cell Reports Medicine, provides compelling evidence that ME/CFS involves

A New Study explores links between ME/CFS & Long Covid
A groundbreaking research project funded by The ME Association is aiming to uncover the shared biological pathways between ME/CFS and Long COVID. Led by Imperial College London, the three-year initiative—called the Rosetta Stone study—will be the largest investigation of its kind. The study will create a detailed immun

Oxaloacetate has been helping me as well, but the imoort duty came to about a third of the cost of the product this time. If I hadn't been bedridden I would have fallen over. It's already very difficult to afford.
Just had to pay £90 import tax on c.£230 (with discount) order of Oxaloacetate.

This pushes it into unaffordability. Yet it really does make a worthwhile difference for me. I hate how expensive ME/CFS vs the pittance of welfare from DWP vs total lack of NHS clinical support.

Cruel Britannia.

Also, there has been a lot of criticism of Terra Biological LLC and its push to use oxaloacetate for the treatment of a number of poorly understood disorders, including PMS. Often a red flag. (Kaufman did move to Seattle, not sure why this article makes such a fuss about it.) psblab.org?p=759

Oxaloacetate, long COVID and ME/CFS: what the new trial shows — and a pragmatic (non-prescriptive) scheme for clinicians
Fatigue and cognitive fog remain among the most disabling complaints for people with long COVID and with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS).

Crossing the capacity threshold, in ME/CFS;

If I do too much, I crash AND sleep bad.
If have coffee I perk up, but sleep even worse.
If I double my Oxaloacetate I get some energy, but heartburn.
If I crash I get air hunger, sleep worse, sound sensitivity, plus all other symptoms much worse.

Yay.

Can anecdotally say breath holds are as helpful/beneficial for me as LDN, my supplement regime, Oxaloacetate.
November 10, 2025 at 2:37 PM
Yes LDN (4mg, 8 drops) is working well thanks, no grumbles. I dream more, but sleep seems unaffected. It seems to play nicely with Oxaloacetate (I do get heartburn at three capsules daily, so I take two), the combo of which I now wouldn't want to be without :) Along with a dozen other supplements...

Microclots in ME/CFS; which symptoms are indicative of this?

Am mulling revisiting Nattokinase a go again for the hope/lols. Tried it briefly five years ago, but that was before I was on LDN and Oxaloacetate, so may/not have been representative.

Ta, as ever.
