Ang hirap mahalin ng taong hindi ka kayang ipaglaban.

Fighting for equal rights is as important as eliminating corruption within the PH government. Treating the latter as the bigger issue minimises the struggles of the marginalised.

At least, she made it clear before the PH elections.

Essentially, calling something the "holy grail" in this context is a way of expressing that it is highly valued and effective.

The PH bottom line is always "How do we save lives?"
You don't close schools unless there's an actual threat to life. It's part of the PH toolbox to contain disease. Treating it like it's the one bridge too far is beyond ignorant. It completely misses the point. How 'bout the PANDEMIC, bro?

Honestly, for your "PH" degree, you also need to understand why measles is so dangerous in the third world. A big part of it is malnutrition. That's why Vitamin A treatment is a big part of treating measles overseas. It's also lack of good access to the type of healthcare I mentioned.

This is the central crux of the problem. We've abandoned mitigation, even when cheap and effective, and downplayed the impact. (And frankly, medical settings should ALWAYS include controls, covid aside, it's common globally.) We are effectively no longer treating a PH threat as any other PH threat.

What would also be nice is the secondary attack rates in those specific settings.

A good first step but the PH grant still remains 26% smaller in real terms when compared to 2015. If the government is serious about "preventing sickness and not just treating it" then it must invest further in the PHG and the public health workforce.
Plans to increase the public health grant in England are a positive step, but more must be done.

We had an algae bloom too, our pH got too high and that was that. We've been treating it for a few days now and can see the bottom again. We had to add 3.5lbs of pHDown, now we are lowering phosphates. Pump has been running for 2 days straight. I vacuumed earlier and backwashed. Now we wait.
