I misread this from glancing too quickly and thought this was about tickets for a rare production of Sandy Wilson's musical VALMOUTH. I thought the sell out in Penzance seemed unlikely.

Bother we missed it in cornwall, although Plymouth rather far for a film.
How about Falmouth or Penzance please in the spring?
Lots of good progressive types down here; I have quite a few friends who’d love to see this.
The 99p eco film showings gone well I believe on forests, Palestine and more

Still tickets left for FALMOUTH next week. I hope like Penzance a few months back , there is the delightful last minute surge to being sold out

For this week's #AlphabetChallenge #WeekCforCloseUp, a snail I came across while avoiding a thunderstorm on the porch of the Marconi Center in Cornwall (part of a South West Coast Path hike from Penzance to Coverack).

The end of Season Three features a musical summary of the events of that season. It is done to the tune of "Modern Major General" by Gilbert and Sullivan, from "The Pirates of Penzance"

Contrariwise, the fearsome Pirates of Penzance, who - spoilers - turn out to all be a bunch of noblemen out having fun playing pirates. This news is met *immediately* with "oh, in that case marry all my lovely daughters!"

Time the south west had more efficient rail. 5 hours plus to Penzance is ridiculous.

The 6:53 AM 49x outbound from The Centre is miraculously on time, despite being draped in a Kernow livery that suggests it is lost on its way to Penzance. It is the first of forty-one stops to Emersons Green, providing ample time for this Volvo to contemplate its late stablemates.

Every international film set in the UK:

Double decker bus drives past Big Ben, over the bridge to Wembley Stadium, left into Buck Palace, straight on to that railway station Harry Potter likes in Edinburgh where Notting Hill is set, then a quick walk next door to Penzance where the Beatles live.

The Boyfriend just walked in on me singing The Major-General’s Song from The Pirates of Penzance.

He’s finally figured out what kind of man I am.

An utter loser.

Want to try that, but Penzance is a long way for a night out.

Thank you. Have eaten at Outlaw’s places a few times. Look forward to trying the others. Also hoping to get down to Penzance to try Bruce Rennie’s place The Shore.

William Bottrell (1816–1881) was one of Cornwall’s most important folklorists, preserving stories that might otherwise have been lost.

Born in St Levan, Bottrell lived on a farm and attended Penzance Grammar School, where he was good at languages. He then spent much of his early life abroad.
