They abducted a 5YO on his way home from school and sent him to a prison camp in Texas. His family didn't know what happened to him for over 24 hours.

I then read both books of the graphic novel The Boy From Clearwater. The pair of books traces the real-life story of Tsai Kun-lin, a White Terror victim who was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Green Island as punishment for joining a reading group in high school.

One of the chaperones on a school trip to the zoo was a father who worked as a prison guard. He told all sorts of helpful stories like how prisoners would collect and dry urine to fill ping-pong balls with. Apparently when set alight they burn with a fury and melt and stick to things….Now you know

Prison doesn't have to be cruel. Calif has prisons that rehabilitate inmates. But they're not there because they stole a candy bar. I think they should be given healthy food and edible, clothing, school it they want

Instead of painting SROs as "officer friendly" perhaps the district should push back on Madison's obviously racist law that all public schools (except those that aren't MPS) must have police in schools.
