Minnesota ist Trumps Kosovo/Kroatien/Bosnien Herzegowina.

Die gleichen Reden wurden nur auf Englisch übersetzt.

Jeder , der weiß was folgt (Srebrenica , Vukovar)
sollte vorbereitet sein.

Did you know the Danes went to Bosnia as a UN deployment? We remember clearly:

This graffiti was left by Danish soldiers in their barracks in Srebrenica, BH. Under their watch, in this same city Srebrenica, Ratko Mladic and his army killed ~10,000 Bosnian Muslims (not soldiers, civilians)

I think the UN has been kneecapped since before I was born.

Recently watched a beautiful documentary about Srebrenica and it was horrifying the was the UN behaved. A lot of legitimacy lost then.

Two film recommendations:

"The Srebrenica Tape – From Dad for Alisa", documentary
"Quo Vadis, Aida?" also under the titles: "Where are you going, Aida?" and "11th of July", feature film

That was not what you searched for - but anyway that's what I can provide as in working in film and education.

@jelenasubotic.bsky.social Do you have any recommendations on a short, accessible piece on the failure of Dutch peacekeepers at Srebrenica?

I'm looking for something for my undergrad comparative genocide class.

People will tell you, you don't know how much worse it could be if he pulled that. I've read about the very literal rape of Srebrenica, and seen the photos of Aleppo turned into dust. My fear is that they'll just do that shit on their own time without any fig leaf at all anyhow.

but even on different categories, the Swedish Academy has awarded so many Nobels to so many shitty humans beings, like Peter Handke, a fucking Srebrenica genocide denier (who was actively defending Milosevic during his trial and during the war), and they fucking doubled down on it

Nema zaklanih porodica. Ima samo 'časni general' i 'neshvaćena borba'.

I think we were right to intervene in Kosovo (particularly given Major's behaviour around Srebrenica.)

Nazis neede thousand of days to get milions.

Iran did in days an atrocity comparable to

1. Srebrenica every day

2. Katyn massacre which took NKWD 2months

3. About 1/3 of Warsawa ghetto uprising which took a montch
January 16, 2026 at 10:51 PM
That's okay.
I'm fine with it.

Just don't forget Bosnia Herzegovina and Srebrenica, @ec.europa.eu

That was also a Russian invasion, even if you don't recognise it as such.
It went longer than the war in Ukraine and many more thousands of people were killed.

Kent State, Martial Law, cancelled elections, Srebrenica.

that may or may not be the actual plan for what happens next. but it _is_ the cherished fever dream of stephen miller and millions of magas. that won't change when piggy inevitably drops over in the next 18-24 months.

You know how my friends in Banja Luka knew? The power went out. More and more each day. Then it stayed off for months. Then they had to hide Muslims in their houses.

You don’t want to know how the people in Srebrenica or Sarajevo knew.

My friends in Nicaragua knew when the bombs started falling.

I know.

The transnational organised crime has taken over.

I cannot fathom that AFTER Milošević and Srebrenica, the USA and @ec.europa.eu let this same playbook run in Ukraine, now in the USA and Grønland.

Instead of cutting heads off the #corruption and criminal techbros.

This doesn’t mean the tragedies in Ukraine, Gaza, Syria, Srebrenica, or the Yazidi genocide matter any less; those are ongoing wounds.

But it does show just how extreme and brutal the crackdown by the Islamic Republic has become.

I am falling apart as I share this with you. What did "Never again" mean? What did we learn from Rwanda? From Srebrenica? What is the point of Responsibility to Protect (R2P)? How can the world just stand by and watch this mass slaughter? 8/
