My Creative Writing school at UVic had a proto-MeToo movement in the late 90s that saw the dept chair fired. About 20 years later, the dept chair of UBC's Writing program was accused of sexual assault by a student. Unfortunately, Canada's literati wrote a group letter condemning the student.
I remember being surprised at how much MeToo took over the minds of certain folks, and I guess I just severely underestimated the number of older men who regarded nonstop predation of younger women as their birthright
Lawrence Krauss being endearing again: "good news btw is that woman on conciliation committee seems like a sweetie.. she is old…. not some young metoo bitch."

It was a mismatch from the start, an unsurprising blowout of an inferior team. But for UBC's large class of graduating seniors, their last time on the court at War Memorial in the regular season was still immensely meaningful.

UBC's Kate Hale explains: Mountains store water in winter and release it in summer when humans and crops need it most.

When that storage system fails, the timing of our water supply breaks.

I find this hard to believe. I went thru UBC's Civil Engineering program and even I knew about ASHRAE. I don't know if they are informed about recent changes but ASHRAE sets the standards. Air quality would be a sub set of Mechanical engineering, possibly more aligned with Environmental Engineering.
