Ureaplasma Species Trigger Different Neonatal Inflammations
In the realm of neonatal infectious diseases, a groundbreaking study has emerged, shedding light on how two closely related bacterial species provoke distinct inflammatory responses in newborns and human epithelial cells. This discovery comes at a pivotal time as neonatal infections continue to be a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, often complicated by the dual presence of Ureaplasma species in the urogenital tract.

I’ll be brief about what it is - I was diagnosed with ureaplasma parvum. Some sources consider it an STI but it developed naturally for me likely bc of frequent antibiotic use. If you are dealing with STI-like symptoms but common tests are coming back negative, test for mycoplasma and ureaplasma!
