Yutyrannus: An extremely radioactive/toxic Yutyrannus. The color I had in mind was a lot different than this, but was pressed for time unfortunately. Just means another piece to come back to at the end of the month.

Yutyrannus!

The colouring here is inspired by that of the willow ptarmigan.
Its plumage seemed perfect for Yutyrannus, with the bright red highlights above its eyes serving as a perfect analogue for yutyrannus's horns :)

The Beautiful Feathered Tyrant Yutyrannus Huali
A boreal tyrannosaur that lived 129.4 to 113 million years ago.
with a holotype coming in at 9 metres in length and weighing over 1,400kg, these glorious creatures would have been quite the sight to behold.

Updated WIP shot of the Yutyrannus figure from Creative Beast dropped today! A shame production was pushed back again to a May fulfillment, but I am a patient dino keeper.

'Di-liw'

Most of my artwork relies on colours and filters to carry the bulk of my rendering, so I wanted to do something in black and white. Also wanted to do some spooky art of my yuty in the snow so perfect opportunity

My favorite thing about the World trilogy though was that they actually treated the dinosaurs as living, breathing things. Instead of just movie monsters. Rebirth throws all of that away just to "put things back to basics."

Also fuck yes with Yutyrannus.

i still hold out hope for a film set purely in a snowy enviroment with yutyrannus as the main dino "villain." a girl can dream, right?

Wanted to redo these little Yutyrannus designs for fun

Happy #PortfolioDay! Most of my popular work is animated, but I have a few still images here that will work as well!
I'm a 29-year-old amateur digital generalist with a love of #sciart and dinosaurs.

Now, I will say that this isn't true for every dino, but the more we learn about prehistoric life, and find better preserved fossils, the more we can understand about the ones we have less info on.
Dino like Yutyrannus helped us realized T.Rex had feathers after all.

The animated short film “Tears of the Mountain” has perhaps my favorite depiction of Yutyrannus, but I am also quite fond of these pieces of paleoart by Mark Witton.

Yutyrannus is my favorite dinosaur. Cold Adapted dinos are already utterly fascinating to me since most don’t know that Dinosaurs lived in colder biomes. But also being such a large Tyrannosauroid, there’s something almost ethereal about the image of this feathered tyrant being at home in the cold…
