An FIR has been registered in Baghpat against 22 people, including Bollywood actors Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath, in connection with a fake finance company duping hundreds of investors by promising to double their money within a year, officials said on Saturday. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Praveen Singh Chauhan said the company, Urban State Credit Cooperative Society Limited, based in Loni, operated investment schemes through agents in several districts of western Uttar Pradesh, including Baghpat, Meerut, and Ghaziabad.

Khabarwala 24 News Baghpat: बागपत में करोड़ों रुपये की बड़ी ठगी का मामला सामने आया है। द लोनी अर्बन मल्टी स्टेट क्रेडिट एंड थ्रिफ्ट कोऑपरेटिव सोसाइटी ने निवेशकों को पांच साल में रकम दोगुनी करने का झांसा देकर जिले के 500 से अधिक लोगों से धोखाधड़ी की। एक साल से रिटर्न न मिलने पर पीड़ितों ने बागपत कोतवाली में सोसाइटी के ब्रांड एंबेसडर और बॉलीवुड अभिनेता श्रेयस तलपड़े, आलोक नाथ समेत 22 आरोपियों के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज कराया। क्या है पूरा मामला (Baghpat) मामले की शुरुआत मीतली गांव की निवासी बबली से हुई। उनके गांव में बिजरौल निवासी एक युवक का आना-जाना था, जो सोसाइटी से जुड़ा हुआ था। उसने कंपनी को भारत सरकार के कृषि मंत्रालय और सहकारी मंत्रालय में पंजीकृत बताया। बबली ने समालखा हरियाणा की ब्रांच में 1.90 लाख रुपये की एफडी कराई। इसके बाद लुहारी गांव की आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकर्ता शर्मिला, सूरज और कई अन्य ग्रामीणों ने भी निवेश किया।

Delhi police on Sunday arrested a 36‑year‑old murder convict who had escaped parole. Deepak Kumar, also known as Sanjay, hails from Village Soop in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, and the arrest took place at Anand Vihar bus terminal in Delhi’s north‑end. The Delhi Crime Branch recovered a .32‑bore armed pistol and six live rounds from Kumar’s hands during the operation. Police officials say they caught him after a months‑long surveillance and trap setup at the terminal.
