Exactly. If an AI *can* invent terms when transcribing notes, then it's been set up incorrectly. Even if 'basilar ganglia' appears once in its training data as a typo, but basilar appears frequently, it should never 'mishear' 'basal ganglia' as basilar ganglia - it should match phrases not words.

It's the little things. We're on holiday and taking it sloooooow. A is napping on the couch next to me and apart from the delight of having a 13 year old who still wants to hang out with her Mum, I can hear her Omnipod ticking away delivering her basal dose of insulin. I continue to notice LLM’s making very human-like errors, which shouldn’t be too surprising I guess, since they were trained on human data.

But there IS a BASAL ganglia or "basal nuclei", which are a group of subcortical nuclei found in the brains of vertebrates.
