After many attempts at #spinning thick & thin #yarn I finally got it thanks to classes w Jacey of @plymagazine.bsky.social & @charansachar.bsky.social at #blacksheepgathering They taught me coils, super coils, fishnets, beehives, & rosebuds. This is Falkland wool wrapped w cotton/flax thread.

A green figured velvet chaise spread with, from the top, a lamb's ears headband; a bag of blues-dyed BFL locks; a bag of purples-dyed mixed fiber for the carder; a bag of blues-dyed mixed locks for combing; and a bag of undyed mixed locks for combing. In front of the bags of locks are a bag with 4 storage bobbins; a new cherry bobbin for my Hansen; and 2 braids of dyed superfine merino from Dicentra ("For Ella" colorway). In front of that is a copy of Stephanie Gaustad's last book; on that is a Jenkins 22g Weaverbird 6-arm Turkish spindle; and half of the "anger braid": 80/20 merino/silk from Wonderland Dyeworks (Flowering Vines colorway).

We have arrived in Albany, OR via the Amtrak Coast Starlight for our 2nd time attending the #blacksheepgathering & are staying at the Knights of Pythias Lodge again. It was so much fun last year. This place is bananas bonkers. Who else is in town for some #wooly adventures?!
