・参加者同士親近感が湧く
・交通規制の時間を最低限にできる
　・運営の人的負担も減る
・周回コースにしやすい（周回数に大きな差が出ない）
　・運営人員を減らせる
・参加者へのトレーニングアドバイスをしやすい

といったメリットがありそうだ。
