#cockatiels
I agree quails are top five but my other four are woodcocks, adelie penguins, barn owls, and cockatiels. I also think pigeons are underrated birds

cochineal cockatiels are fed nonce phonemes, lifo stack languages, pidgins mid-creolization. their vibrancy is waste-heat, deepening as linguistic entropy is consumed

Parrots, specifically cockatiels were like my hyperfixation for years and I can slowly feel like fish and sea creatures beginning to compete for my brain space

if someone's looking for a "beginner bird" then the correct answer is almost always cockatiels. maybe a green cheek conure if they're feeling confident. budgies are for aviaries

We were The Bird House. We peaked at four rehomed cockatiels. I was worried about shedding that reputation, but eventually associating only with birds paid off.

Approaching blackout. Yikes. I’m not sure what this bacon pancakes thing is but I should probably put the #cockatiels in my will…?

My sweet Honey bunny broke his foot. $800 of vet bills (so far) and 3 weeks to go of medication and isolation. I’m watching videos of his chicks beak-grinding on loop to try to distract myself from the feeling of my guts falling out. Dammit #cockatiels, quit being so wonderful and fragile.

Pet Birds 🦜🪶🦚

Parakeets, parrots, cockatiels - maybe even peacocks to roam about on your mansion garden estates?

Teach your birds tricks like talking

Feed birds on a park bench - perfect for elders

We already have chickens and that raven from L&D! So this is not far off!

We (and by we I mean my sister) have three cockatiels and a green cheek conure, but when we got the conure we had 6 cockatiels, so now the bird speaks Conure with a distinctly Cockatiel accent and it's the cutest thing ever.

Birds ready for weekend mischief, all around the world!

Same! My family used to breed cockatiels but then we started to just simply take in people's cockatiels and budgies that they couldn't care for since we had an aviary and quarantine flight cages. But in the dreams there was also a mix of other birds too we never had either!

I also specifically dream about all the birds my family raised together when I was a kid. Mostly cockatiels, budgies, and finches, but in my dreams there will suddenly be other birds too and way too many per cage, and they all need food & water changed, etc 😨 the human brain is wild…
