Where’s the 2nd Amendment ppl now. Guys who walk into coffeehouses & supermarkets with their big guns hanging off their fat asses. Pretti had a license to carry & his gun was in a holster never once taken out or pointed at anyone. But he’s the terrorist? MAGA slobs with guns have rights but not him?

BLIZZARD

the soft economy of ghosts;

on the couch,
we note the sensuousness of the phenomenon,
whose cosmos of cotton ensconces
coffeehouses, townhouses, towns:
the gusty monotony of the tempest,
then the monotone hush of footsteps on snow

Every Caucasian-American liberal's wet dream.

Meanwhile, as us Browns get deported and murdered and raped in prison they sit back in quiet coffeehouses and only WISH they can suffer like the rest of us.

Ah, but their skin tone saves then every time.

It's been their go-to for many many years now.

Love Lille, it's so cosy! If you wanna geek out AstroCity's a nice shop near the square of Lille. Lots of nice coffeehouses and restaurants there as well

in the places we pray; in our public libraries and union halls; at the coffeehouses and bookstores and open-mic nights; and yes, here too, on Substack and the other spaces in this online world that still hold out the promise of community.

We find each other, because we will need each other.

My "favorite" tactic is ASCAP and BMI...the publishing rights companies created to ENSURE ARTISTS GET PAID shaking down small venues like bars and coffeehouses foe blanket "licensing"fees in hundreds of dollars per month, ensuring there are no small venues for live music listening or performance

Man I gotta admit we had it all then, at least it seemed so. Coffeehouses, underground papers, crash pads, sex, drugs and rock n roll.

Yorkville in Toronto was once a hippie haven. Gentrification replaced the coffeehouses with luxury boutiques. You can read about it in Honey Novick’s poem by downloading our eBook below:

For those of you not versed in British history, it would be over 100 years until Sir Robert Peel stamped out the illicit trade in helium that caused people to talk so high in coffeehouses.
Captain Brewer, the paynter, tells me how highly the Presbyters do talk in the coffeehouses still, which I wonder at.

Baristas at the U District Starbucks on the Ave have been on strike for two months now.

Some fresh sidewalk chalk points to the independent coffeehouses nearby.

Mexico has long been dismissed by persnickety java connoisseurs as inferior to other coffee-producing regions. Now Mexican coffee is growing in popularity among Texas coffeehouses for its unique flavors and body.
Why Mexican Coffee Is Becoming More Popular in Texas
I took a trip to the heart of the country’s coffee-growing scene to learn more about the beans that turn into an easy-drinking brew.

When I was in my mid 20s and managing coffeehouses, customers always just assumed I was the owner and were surprised to learn otherwise.

Thanks, these are all my original designs. I used to always carry a never-worn copy of whichever shirt I happened to be wearing, when going out to coffeehouses, and would sell them to people who asked where to get one =p

Both indie bookstores and non-Starbucks coffeehouses have returned and it’s delightful.

Nature is healing.

In a city that’s fiercely dedicated to its sports teams, quirky traditions, and all things crab, Baltimore’s loyalty extends just as ardently to its coffeehouses, cafes, bars, and other eating and drinking establishments.

the friend in question is doing actually an even more picturesque Literary Protagonist behavior in that he has fled his home to languidly inhabit the taverns and coffeehouses of a foreign*, ancient** city and conduct transient affairs in the grip of a broken heart

Sufism and Kabbalah dovetailing with the rise of coffeehouses makes perfect sense to me as an unhinged person who drinks cold brew all day and receives visions
