Today is the first day of prompts from Miles of Let's Have a Bouba. These prompts are pulled from actions associated with the four bird deities of the Bokuz conculture which is a current focus for their streams. #lexember

Animals make such good bases for a fantasy conculture, it really is too easy.

If you're in Lancaster this morning.... come and get a book at the Shore Leave convention! I'll be packing up at 3, but get there before then and you can pick up a copy of "M.A.H.M." and get it signed by the very grateful author!

A nice Valthungian idiom:

Þeni gapīča wriškunþ an basiðram.

Literally, ‘When gapiča grow on berry bushes’ - pretty much equivalent to "When pigs fly."

We have no Utopia, but we do have mass suffering thanks to Capitalism and a few Billionaires doing fine, so I have a few issues with the World Building.

Granted, I can understand it as a metaphor, but I still can't with the Worldbuilding/Conculture.

I've been ignoring the Tamaka #conculture for too long. I should probably write more.

Today is the Wistanian Day of Treaty when my conculture celebrates the signing of a Peace Treaty and Constitution that established their nation.

When I mapped out their calendar against ours, I set the holiday to occur on my date of birth, and it has since occurred every 324 days.

I can make a conlang or a bit of a conlang that is not meant to have a conculture or have been evolved and you naturally think of how it could have been evolved

I can see the inspiration of both of those cultures in your work, and the passion you put into it! What's a tip you can give for someone starting on their own conculture for their conlang?

Absolutely! Con culture adds such a rich layer to the SFF experience! 🌟 It’s amazing how it brings us together, even in our unique niches. #SFF #ConCulture 💖

Great work! I like how you have finer distinctions for mourning. It shows a depth in your conculture.

How did /ti/ became a /sʲu/ from Proto-Morho to Proto-Tou? Did the following /p/ round the preceding vowel? Thank you.

* I finally get to use trenchers in a conculture
* The dramatic irony between the two meanings of "Ái askou, vie tivéiris" is something you could write a whole short story about
* it forced me to think about how eating vessels and utensils work across my cultures

am i gonna do #lexember with a conlang that's only in the notes phase? sure, why not, sounds fun!

since i think it'll be used in the name of this conculture/country, (and because it'll be grammatically uncomplicated) we'll start with the word for iron.

thanks, i gotta say i’m lowkey proud of having come up with this idea of having another conculture invade this one, stratifying – creolizing, even – the core vocabulary
