A dollmaid is like an exotic pet, in that it requires a certain amount of specialised care to keep it healthy and happy. But as a servant, it can take care of a lot of those duties by itself. Very convenient!

Comfort and functionality. If they're gonna be working then the outfit needs to ensure that everything can be done with minimal wear on the doll or her uniform. They may be pretty (especially in wonderful Victorian look) but the uniform has to hold up to the rigours of dollmaid work
