I just read this paper and think everyone in education and policy should see it.
It argues ecologists are losing field experience and this “extinction of experience” could weaken science and conservation.
Fieldwork still matters.

Americans can’t afford groceries, rent, or health care — but sure, let’s drop an estimated $100 million (at least) on a vanity monument while bridges crumble and families fall behind.
I'd rather my tax dollars went toward science, education, nat. parks or conservation, not his Lego building crap!

Just spreading the word. I completed the AIP program last May, and I found it to be an amazing program. Highly recommended for conservation and science education professionals looking for a meaningful way to complete a master's degree.
