I FINALLY added the air #RStats formatter in Positron so it formats each time I save - and it is magical. Fixes indents! Puts things on the correct lines!

I read it. There wasn't really anything about PEI—aside from noting small-town folks on PEI are dumb and vulnerable to fascist views—and the articles mainly restated everything already in the news. Carney's a banker! Israel is bad! The Philippines!

They need an angle, a copyeditor, and a formatter.
It's a mini free LIBRARY, folks. Not a distribution centre for your ideological newsletters.

It literally says, "Take a book, leave a book" on it.

you know your formula is good if you have so many nested parentheses the auto formatter gives up on color coding them

`jujutsu fix` is just so good. It automatically rewrites your commits as though you'd remembered to run the code formatter each time.

I wish I used @biomejs.dev as my daily linter/formatter. So much simpler, easy to integrate in literally any editor.

oxfmt is going to have Tailwind classes sorting, something Biome had had some reticence against in the past.

Having a 1:1 Prettier-compatible formatter with 30x speed ups is a huge plus for large codebases, to avoid a massive diff.

It's a 'sounds like the answer machine'. "AI" simply creates a response that apes the form of an actual answer. Once you understand that, it makes perfect sense as to why it fabricates quotes - because an actual answer would have a quote. It doesn't think or understand, it's a pattern formatter.

Did something fun; used @tinygo.org to shove @mvdan.cc's wonderful gofumpt into @dsherret.bsky.social's amazing dprint formatter via a Wasm plugin.

We previously used an "exec" plugin to do this with go tool, but it was slow to run, and worse in parallel (and... Windows 😑).

Now it's fast!

Would you like dbLinter to include a formatter? The more 'thumbs up' we get for the GitHub issue (github.com/Grisselbav/d...), the sooner it will happen.
New Rule: Always format database code consistently · Issue #45 · Grisselbav/dbLinter
The Problem ATM code style rules are not covered in the rule set of dbLinter. See also No Code Style. This is sad, since well-formatted code is easier to read and consistently formatted code is eas...

i think that it's smart to tell your book formatter to hunt you for sport if you try to keep editing things

amusing that a guide for programming standards has a completely nonstandard syntax for function application. maybe a code formatter tool choked
December 5, 2025 at 4:15 PM
the neovim setup lacks the operator color coding of the online formatter (and it keeps complaining about the local formatter editing in the unicode symbols), might make a nicer integration plugin if i feel like it idk
