Fuck You I Quit @fuckyouiquit ... Why is the @UAW telling other unions to align their contract expiration dates? Because thats how you get a nationwide general strike and actually change the entire corporate narrative to focus more on the working class and less on the ownership class. My problem is that I've seen at least five dates with major hype go by without anything happening since 2020. These people have good intentions but have no idea how to organise a community. I don't get why they advocate for a general strike and are coming to the internet as opposed to trade unions

This is not an untested method of organization. In my city, I see flyers advocating for general strikes on specific dates two or three times per year. There hasn't been a general strike in my city since the 1930s.
