He had an idea to bring me back on the channel part-time, if l'd be willing to make a few videos a week for them. Long story short, I agreed, believing that this was an answer to mine and my wife's prayers for pro-vision. The crowdfunding campaign was successful, and I was happy and blessed to be back. I love board games. I love people. I don't care what they look like, what they're sexual orientation is, or who they voted for.... love people. I love playing board games with all different kinds of people. I love the camaraderie it brings. I love the unification it fosters. Introduction --- "any site can be a dating site if you use it incorrectly" - Sarah Everett --- Amongst queer people, the very mention of Grindr, the "#1 free dating app for the LGBTQ community", is often met with lowered heads and a deep, familiar groan. On it's surface, you deal with queer and questioning men who have absolutely zero game with terribly boring cock shots, repetitive intros, cookie cutter pick-up lines, the grunts of an awful semblance to a compliment. But where some people see a wall of dicks, I saw a glass ceiling ready to be shattered. I can't quite remember when I consciously decided to start mocking these losers, but I do remember the perverse pleasure of putting on a classic film noir, emulating the crackling, quick-witted tongue of a femme fatale, surgically ridiculing these bland and basic messages (Vera Drake; thank you) --- "You're hot!" "Yes, I know" "Your tits are perfect" "All tits are perfect, dummy" "I wanna fuck you so badddd" "These days, who don't?" "lmao" "hey" "Hey" "How's your day?" *dick pic* "Heyyyy" *dick pic* --- I don't tend to suffer these fools too long before adding them to the blocklist but, every once in a while, I get an opportunity to really lay into someone. It's a great exercise to work out some petty misandristic feelings in a safe way that only hurts the feelings of some bull-headed loser on the otherside whom, I fear, may never know how to be charming. So why put up with any of this? Call it emotional masturbation at this point (because it pretty much is) but also a great opportunity to level up my bitchiness for when I need it in the real world. You see, I wasn't always like this. In fact, growing up I was rather docile, unable to stand up for myself, and avoided confrontation by any means necessary; an invisible shadow in the distance. But the more I confronted my history and grew more intimate with myself; avoiding confrontation is no longer an option. So I chose the path of a warrior; to get tougher one dick at a time...

I'll never forget the time I walked up to a guy at the taco place and said "Hey Justin. How's it going?" He said his name wasn't Justin. Full on argued with him about who he was for 45 seconds or so.
That was over 20 years ago and it still lives rent free in my mind.

This growing love is having the side effect of cementing my utter disinterest in seeing generative A.I. in games. I already had problems with seeing big tech’s latest “sell first, think and maybe improve later” product being shoved into the medium. It’s unsettling to see a tool that frequently replaces workers become the new hot thing in an industry that can’t go a week without bleeding its talent. The promise of more productivity has already led to blunders in areas ranging from localization to promotional material to Darth Vader dropping slurs for a short time. And while speeding up the development process with generative A.I. to address the industry’s sustainability crisis is certainly a choice, one that some outlets identified as having varying levels of buy-in at this year’s Gamescom, it’s clear that many workers (and players) aren’t a fan and feel like it’s being forced on them.

The only thing standing between him and his promotion to COO is the buyout of a small real estate company. Well, that, and the attractive receptionist, Nat, who lives to make his job hell. When her sugar daddy ends their contact, Nat is abandoned, broke, and screwed without his kitchen she used for her and her best friend’s baking business. In other words, her dreams are burnt to a crisp, which is exactly what her busted oven does to cookies. To relieve stress and ease her anxiety, Nat enters a sex-only relationship with Beckett. But after Beckett’s cousin sees Nat leaving his house, he makes Nat an offer she can’t refuse. She can live with him rent-free and have full use of his chef’s kitchen, if she pretends to be his girlfriend until his cousin’s wedding. It’s a recipe Nat knows can only end in disaster. When she starts to fall for him, Nat can’t risk her business and fears Beckett will leave the same way every other man in her life has. It looks like shit and resembles a bunch of fucking dicks painted on a canvas. Abstract art my ass. I stalk out to the lobby, and I’m met with all the bored faces of my colleagues. The junior agents all yawn at their desks, or lean back in their chairs as they scroll through their phones. It’s been a slow week, but I make a mental note about the climate of the office. However one person in particular stands out. Natasha Marino. The firm’s receptionist, or the bane of my work life existence, as I like to call her. She’s on my list, too. Strutting up to her reception desk, I press my forearm against it and peer down at her. “Good morning, Nat,” I smile as her brows furrow and her shoulders roll forward. “How’s the new year treating you so far?” Without looking up, Nat shrugs and continues typing on her computer. “It’s been good up until now,” she mutters. “See, my resolution was to rid myself of everything negative in my life”—she looks up at me through thick lashes and a tight-lipped smile graces her face—“but then I remembered how difficult that would be working here with some people.” “Some people in this office can be difficult to work with, I agree.” Spoiler: it’s her; she’s the people difficult to work with.
