There's a subset of developers who I wish could just be funded for the rest of their lives to make whatever weird little games they want. Like imagine if we gave Ice Pick Lodge or Goiaba Megas Xellox or Consumer Softproducts the kind of money Team Cherry has.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing that Ice Pick Lodge has become a successful developer able to realize their weird-ass visions. Really excited to see their take on Darkwood.

I looked at someone else playing it and realized there is no way. Ice Pick Lodge is a great studio, though; i highly recommend their title THE VOID as very playable; still grim and grindy but in a totally different way.

My sympathies do go out to the team at Ice Pick Lodge
If I pick the game up myself is less a moral argument about one singular artist and more a question of my own personal enthusiasm about Pathologic as a franchise
I do not wish to punish or diminish the work of the talented artists of the studio

Very embarrassing for me to have spent years and years going "nono Pathologic is frustrating on purpose! The jank is supposed to be there! It all makes sense, it's ludonarrative interplay!" and then for Ice Pick, Lodge to go no, we meant to do it right the first time, we fixed it, sorry about that.
