Nunavut:

Prior to Nunavut's creation, a committee was formed to design a flag that incorporated Inuit culture. Over 800 submissions came in and were reviewed by artists and elders. The flag was designed by Andrew Qappik and flew for the first time on April 1, 1999.

V Sydney je 22.26. Závod trvá devět hodin. Posádky čelí vlnám vysokým přes tři metry a větru v poryvech okolo třiceti uzlů. První tři lodě už vzdaly: Hutchies Yeah Baby, Inukshuk a White Noise. Během australské noci a rána se k nim asi přidají další. Pak se ale má počasí uklidnit. #SydneyToHobart

On this solstice night, I just checked and my compass calendar #cairn ‘s top pointer did indeed mysteriously rotate toward the north, symbolizing that Winter has arrived.
Also— the Peppermint Tentacled Inukshuk, SanTiki, and the StickMan with pet WalkingStick send their #solstice greetings.

I needed to wait until tonight to take an updated picture of what the buddies are up to these days.
On the right there is a ceramic penguin and a polar bear on a rock. Purchased from artists locally. The small white inukshuk is from an artist in Manitoba. The green one is from a Tuktoyaktuk artist

my preferred dog food is inukshuk. really fine canadian made working dog feeds. It’s already expensive. Was leaning toward becoming a lower 48 wholesaler to save $ feeding my pack. But we are weaning ourselves off of this top shelf canadian kibble til cheeto is gone. ☹️
