You have to assume all context you give an AI company is being sold to brokers. Your personal finance data. Every medical question you ask. Your notes.

Now how will all of that be used by corporations and government subjugating you?

Hopefully this year we got more practical local options.

My power bill today floored me. Thanks AI! I love subsidizing billionaires making us dumber www.axios.com/local/washin...
Why your D.C. utility bills are higher (again)
Blame gas and electric hikes, falling temps and the data center boom.

Deleted my account after the reports of CSAM & other AI exploitative images. I'm a local councillor and am pushing for both my council and local party to stop using the platform.

I sent one of the local AI LLM models a picture of me and asked what its impression of me was.

Here's the answer.

Between his circular trading with OpenAI + Oracle, his insistence that his employees use more AI and calling them "insane" when they don't, and the impact NVIDIA's new datacenters have around local ecosystems and city resources, his slice of humble pie is long overdue.

Get fucked, Jensen 🖤

This one really stands out to me - Microsoft's plan for "Community-First AI Infrastructure" includes efforts to cram generative AI into schools.

You can also tell they used GenAI for this post - it's 5,829 words!! And has a waffly, overstuffed "conclusion" 🫠

Some wild news out of US re data centre development - Microsoft and Trump promising together in a synchronised statements that MSFT data centre development won't result in price increases where developments occur. Lots of media coverage (some articles pretty uncritical)

EPA then: This action will help clean the air and water, resulting in benefits to local health and--

EPA now: Yeah, we don't give a s**t. Health schmealth. It'll cost an AI company a tiny fraction of their revenues, so it's not gonna happen.

Before it would’ve taken months to get all the network services built for my house. I was able to get good monitoring, pihole dns server with encryption to root dns servers, smokeping, ipam and a local ai server setup within a couple days. Pretty easy to find the network gremlin now!

I'm failing to see what the issue people are having here. They are literally saying they will show books that your library has available. As in its totally dependent on if your library is offering AI Generated books. You should tell ur local library to not accept AI submissions.

Hey tech #coops, in 2026 you should be exploring ways to align with the govt’s Industrial Strategy.

That = thinking about #netzero, #cleanenergy, local infrastructure (e.g. data tooling and place-based projects) & responsible #AI tied to raising civic capacity 🏡🙌

It's so hard to ethically consume anything today, but for so long I'd love to tell people "use Libby! You can get great art for free while supporting your local library".

Then Libby decides "we're actually gonna let in AI slop so tech companies can steal funds from your local library". 🫠🙃

Recommend you let them know how you feel about this situation. I have zero faith in publishers self-reporting AI generated content & shoving the responsibility of curation entirely on local library systems puts unneeded pressure on them & allows libby to dodge the inevitable flak. Human authors only

You know, it's been a little while since I went to my local library. I think I'll go there instead of sifting through potential AI slop.

I mean I'm pretty confident this blog post was written by AI, but I'm otherwise skeptical that this local design-build landscape company has built the proprietary "machine-learning for gardens" tool that they imply they have.

Health care workers' decisions can make a big difference, especially in health systems with constrained resources. We gave AI LLM assistance to Nigerian health care workers whose training and scope of practice is less than local physicians.
