#ms2000
"Turn Wheel" patch from the MS2000, absolute classic 😍 just used it in a tune recently. Did you use the Venus Theory library, the real deal, or did you roll your own?

Trying to think if any entry level synth has cooked anywhere near as hard as the original MS2000 in terms of design freedom. It was my first synth and I've never laid hands on an instrument with that kind of immediate versatility. Feel like the analog revival actually moved away from this

GRUM - U

Really love this track. I think the bassline is like Korg MS20 or MS2000

The MS2000 was the first one that really grabbed me when I first got into hardware, but I wound up with an Alesis Ion on a whim. Kinda regret that, and the Ion's out of commission probs forever thanks to a neighbor with a dishwasher leak.

One of these days tho, maaaybe... they're pretty cheap used.

my first hardware synth was an MS2000 and the missing ms2k features on the microkorg are a real bummer. you’re taking away the MOTION SEQUENCER?!? wtf mate?

I'm old enough to remember when Antigen Shift called them out to their faces at a fest way back, along with that Nachtmahr twerp. Loved it.

Synth are weird tho, always heavy on dogma and warring factions. I'd take an MS2000 over a Microkorg personally lol

the microkorg is sadly missing the most important feature, that incredible sequencer. i had the rack version of the ms2000 and i loved it for drummy stuff and such

can confirm the ms2000 bangs, nostalgia or no. The microkorg is like 90% the same (same sound engine minus a few features) so if you're just looking for sound demos that'll probably be easier to track down

Low balled a Korg ms2000, damn I love those 🤞

It sounds about as deep into FM as I want to get. Outside processing feels like the way to go, or maybe running it into the input on a subtractive synth like the MS2000 and treating it as an oscillator for further sculpting. Now I’ve just got to find a nice one, they’re not super common.

I remember the ion/micron. I’ve got an MS2000 that I love. I can’t speak to how it compares to the others, but it’s a hell of a synth. I worked for Guitar World & Revolver mags. Korg advertised with us so I was able to get the MS2000 when it came out for the wholesale price. Those were the days!

I enjoyed this. I think the korg ms2000 is a good time
Esp running it through some mutable instruments braids

First one is a Multicam Emersongear MICH 2002 cover with MS2000 marker, shotgun shell caddy and NV mount. I also have one of those in MC Tropic. Surplus M81 Woodland and Choco Chip PASGT covers and a custom Red Dawn KLMK PASGT cover!

Metroid Prime is in my top 5, both as a soundtrack and a game. That soundtrack makes me want to buy a Korg MS2000

got to play with a microkorg last night and i think it could be the best synth ever made... but i have to test an ms2000 first to make sure

I remember the days where every other listing in the ebay synth section was a broken MS2000. Great little synth, but god knows what was wrong with them. You don't see them sold as faulty anymore, so i guess any ones that were going to break have already died!

i just /know/ this is kenji yamamoto from the way he's still using the korg ms2000 past mind patch. in other words: we are so back youtu.be/VvXuOjZaawg?...

I’ve only been using it for a few hours, but so far I really dig it. The Pro-1 particularly complements my Roland JU-06A & Korg MS2000. I’ve got a bass patch worked up that’s demanding some use, so I guess I need to start working on a new song. Lol.
