"I did not feel Physician A was even minimally open to my clearly expressed clinical concerns and reported experiences, and was treating the patient in the textbook, not the patient in front of them" is another good way of calling another doctor a dildobucket but professionally so
February 14, 2026 at 3:09 AM
Alternatively, if you want the referring doc to get the message even harder, "in our first appointment, I discovered Physician A and I differ strongly on how much patient input and consent we feel is necessary in developing a treatment plan and that's not a point I am prepared to compromise on"

What Changed:
Understanding that not all rigorous scholarship is analytical.
There is also:
∙ Contemplative scholarship (patient observation)
∙ Participatory scholarship (engaged interpretation)
∙ Aesthetic scholarship (pattern recognition)
∙ Reverential scholarship (honoring mystery)

I’d love that. Seizures popped up around Covid in 22. None since I’ve been medicated, but brains are weird/scary! As a neuro patient, you quickly learn how little the experts know and to get comfy with no definitive answers.

Aside from the deaf patient scene, I thought this was perhaps the best and most memorable episode of the show

Lots of shitty movies get good ratings

Birdman & The English Patient were both torturously boring and both got high ratings AND won Oscars

If this movie was so bad the internet was basically demanding Netflix bring Henry Cavill back

I shall be patient 🙏🏽

Birdman & The English Patient won Oscars and those movies were 💩 too

When did Superman become such a whiny emotional victim?

The CGI dog looked pathetic compared to movies made 20yrs ago

So Lois can just fly alien spaceships?

The robots with no emotion are giddy over superman?

i think that is often true,

but with the caveat that the im not sure how "teachable" people really are & if the game really helps

certainly it does tend to show a lack of the relevant skill, but your median quokka is probably "stuck that way" & if they can learn at all it will be with patient help
