The Pokemon Amie being a sim where you can feed and pamper your Pokemon, they really should have added different weight stages for each Pokemon. What do you mean that would cost thousands of extra development hours? This is important for immersion!!

alot of my favorite pokemon games tend to be the ones that subvert the series' traditional forumula, stuff like legends arceus/Z-A and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, however there are a few exceptions like X/Y and OR/AS, cause I just really like the features those games added like megas, pokemon amie,etc

Closest we have is Pokemon Amie/Refresh, little side activities you can do in XY, ORAS/ the Alola games respectively.
You can pet them, & give them treats to eat, & in the case of Amie, there's some cute little minigames with the 3DS touch screen. :)

Dont get me wrong, the gameplay IS great, and it isnt as buggy as it was with Scarlet and Violet,tho they could have done more with the city given how lackluster the environment feels like, and a lot of the features from Pokemon X Y is missing such as pokemon amie,ultra training,rollerskates, etc

what i think pokemon home should've always been is a massive fusion of bank, champions, and camp/amie/picnics. doing so would've given you the ability to have fun with all of your pokemon without having to worry about balancing and the national dex every new generation

i once tricked myself into thinking that things like "pressing the pokemon on the touch screen" or "copying the animations on the touch screen" would affect anything

No amount of Pokemon-Amie or camping can make up for the difference of the Sun arcana in Persona 3. And no amount of Apt Pupil, Regenerate 3, Invigorate 3 on every Persona in my stock will make up for teaching a Pokemon a move outside their learnset by breeding or using a TM.

Well first off, it added Mega Evolution. It also took a lot of improvements from Emerald and X/Y and incorporated them, so there was a new Sneak mechanic in tall grass, the Super Training and Pokemon-Amie minigames, an expanded Mauville, and some other improvements.
