Responding to questions about whether the Trump administration’s 20-point plan risks diluting the two-state framework, Radwan said the two tracks are fully compatible. She said that the global alliance for implementing a two-state solution, backed by Saudi Arabia, Norway, the EU, and partners across the Arab and Islamic world, is focused on execution. “Almost everyone agrees the two-state solution is the only way forward,” she said. Radwan claimed that the U.S.-backed plan does more than manage the current crisis, and includes Palestinian self-determination and a political path forward. She warned, as noted in the post above, that those objectives are now under threat from attempts to reinterpret or water down what has already been agreed. “We must avoid redefinition and moving the goalposts,” she said. Pressed on whether there should be consequences for actors that obstruct the process, Radwan drew a hard line against renegotiation by stealth. They redubbed all his lines with a different actor, because he sounded too much like John Wayne. It is incredibly noticeable the entire time. This again gets good marks for being a Data-focused episode, where he has to convince the colonists to leave. The two stories, the one of Picard arguing with the Sheliak and the one with Data on the planet, function so well on their own and as converging stories. Data, who as always doesn’t understand humans, has to learn how to convince people to a cause, in this instance, escaping the planet before the Sheliak arrive. He has some good moments with Ard’rian, but it feels flat a lot of the time. Supposedly there was more of their interactions that were cut. The solution Picard uses to stall for time is also particularly fun, and it makes for a good ending. Solid episode from all angles, if a little basic at times.

The Greenwood 2 Solutions Circle last night in Mississippi Delta was intense, honest and solutions-driven. Gun violence, in particular, is a very serious issue there, even by Mississippi’s low gun-loving standards, with few real organized solutions. The community wants to organize to change that.

Could #PlowTheStreets @betterstreetschicago.org get a foothold if initially it was laser focused on clearing bus stops and nearby sidewalk ramps? Not ideal solution but making bus boarding/alighting safer/easier would be a significant step forward. 5-10 minutes of shoveling per stop could do much.

This wasn't true a year ago, but all of the largest problems in this country will be resolved by removing Trump from office. Many of the largest problems in the world would be, too.

Hence a solution focused party might reasonable focus on him.

But to answer your question yes, it’s something we talk about often but not often enough in the street safety world. I think we’re rightfully very focused on infrastructure as the solution right now, I think that’s easier to get through to people than directly taking someone’s right to drive.

Another set of trials focused on non-drug treatments for LC proven to be ineffective. 🙄 You can’t exercise the mind into healing? Who would have thought. I’m so tired of researchers wasting time on thought experiment trials or exercise based trials. Has yet to be and will not be the solution.
