You don’t need to watch the video. You don’t need to make yourself feel more hopeless than you already do.

Organizing isn’t always attacking the problem directly — it’s simple actions that create hope and free your neighbors’ capacity to organize. Some ideas you can do today 🧵

Dem leadership isn’t just weak anymore, it’s an accomplice to the Trump administration.
I am begging Democratic leadership to recognize that funding and legitimizing your authoritarian opponent’s secret police is a bad idea.

This should not be a difficult concept.

It appears ICE murdered someone in cold blood today and their plan is — per usual — to create a fog of lies so the killer does not face justice. We simply can't let that happen. The shooter has to be arrested and so does Bovino. They can't just kill people on the street.

Also, AVs are so far the most prevalent & utilized in denser areas that already have greater levels of transit service, b/c that's where they're most profitable. Converting transit trips to AV trips is a net loss wrt safety & other factors, in addition to also weakening transit for non AV-users.
Sorry, but triumphant claims about autonomous vehicle safety are wildly exaggerated.

It's an open question whether today’s self-driving cars are any safer than those driven by humans.

And if reducing crashes is the goal, that isn’t even the right question.

My deep dive, in Bloomberg 🧵
We Still Don’t Know if Robotaxis Are Safer Than Human Drivers
And even if self-driving technology proves to be less dangerous, there are many better ways to improve traffic safety and prevent fatal crashes.

Driverless cars are very ineffective at getting bad drivers off the road. Multiple studies have shown that TNCs are mainly replacing public transit, walking, and biking trips — not human drivers.

Another preventable crash at an intersection with tons of pedestrian traffic. Driver turning left and either wasn’t paying attention or saw her too late.

We need to do so much more to make East Bay Streets safer for everyone, particularly in places like this, where so many are walking or biking.

this seems specifically designed to break mail-in voting (where deadlines are defined by postmark)
As of 12/24/25, USPS changed policy on when they postmark mail. Mail dropped off is no longer guaranteed a same-day postmark. Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.
