Maybe the Super Scoopers are heading home to NIFC? They could need to refuel or maybe not cleared for night ops? Their pilots are such amazing aviators.

We had SuperScoopers working on the South Rim Fire at Black Canyon a few weeks ago. They reloaded at Blue Mesa Reservoir. Was pretty incredible. They closed the portion of Blue Mesa where they were refilling.

They proved to be really helpful during our recent So Cal wildfires (oh PS: sorry about the wing damage after some dip shit decided to fly a drone over Palisades Fire. Good news is he was caught & took a plea deal).

Yesterday, they did this 4 tier water drop operation with helicopters at 500 ft, superscoopers at 1000 ft, the big planes at 1,500 ft, and helicopters at 2000 ft directing the whole thing. It was as choreographed as a ballet. The lake is right there to refill the aircraft.
It was pretty amazing.

If you haven't heard yet, S. Cali has the Hughes Fire in the Santa Clarita area near Castaic Lake. 500 acres immediately. After 2 hours it's at 5k+. 4 Superscoopers and multiple helicopters working on it. Does anyone else think this is suspicious?

Quebec will be sending two more superscoopers in the next few days. One of the aircraft currently on firefighting duty was hit by a civilian drone and is grounded pending repairs to the wing.

God bless the great COUNTRY of Canada! They have Quebec 1 & 2 here. Superscoopers to do water drops. Unfortunately, some dickwad illegally put up a drone that damaged Quebec 1. The FAA is investigating and the perpetrator automatically gets a $75k fine. I'm sure they will have to pay damages and

I just heard on TV that one of the 2 water bombers (Superscoopers) from Canada was damaged in flight when it was hit by a drone! It landed safely but cannot fly until repaired. So we have only one of them active right now. Good to hear more are on the way.

Flightradar24 shows the planes in real time and the two Quebec SuperScoopers are dropping over Sullivan Canyon right now.
