George Foote, who served as the outside general counsel to the US Institute of Peace, said at WIRED’s Big Interview event that DOGE operatives arrived like a “strike team.”

Al mateix temps, és probable que això intensifiqui la resistència interna, tant civil com armada, en un país que ja viu una profunda crisi humanitària i política. Fonts: SCMP, BBC, Human Rights Watch, Reuters, International Crisis Group, Al Jazeera, United States Institute of Peace (USIP).

Someone needs to foia what the USIP folks, working w/think tankers was telling them. This is what I was working against at the level I was at.

and this is an Obama judge! (who at this point seems to be a nut who's gone MAGA, she was the same one who allowed the USIP takeover)
Striking nativist editorializing by the federal judge who just upheld the $100,000 tax on high-skill immigrants.

She opines that it’s “troubling” that universities hire talent from abroad at all, instead of only native grads.

Then admits (!) that opinion is irrelevant (So why write it? Venting?)

Frustratingly, there is a lot of recent work from US sources missing from the public record because it was being conducted at or in partnership with USIP.

However, this is a decent if expansive starting place: www.ictj.org/resource-lib...

I assume the members of the Kennedy Center board who were quorate but denied the ability to vote could sue, but who gets to sue over the USIP building?

*USIP isn’t part of the federal government.

It's Not A Presidency. It's A Crime Spree - And It Needs To End
It's time now for Congressional Democrats to develop a clear strategy to more forcefully challenge Trump's destructive lawlessness

The president’s name was installed on the building and signage around the US Institute of Peace, an independent agency, on December 3. USIP was also gutted earlier this year as part of the Trump administration’s efforts to shrink the federal government.

He already put his name on the USIP building, so I just added some context...
December 19, 2025 at 5:12 PM
Well, he renamed the Gulf of Mexico. Once he's gone, will anybody use that? He renamed the Department of Defense and USIP. Same question.

Signs can be changed, albeit expensively.

We should just relax and make sure every sign on a public building with his name on it gets torn down quickly. 1/2

With attendance and future ticket sales tanking, this will only acerbate what is becoming a bad situation. Everything Trump touches turns to shit. And this, along with "Trump USIP", will be properly renamed once this vile bag is out of office.
