#wealthier
We really aren't. The entire population is deluded unto believing we are wealthier than reality bears out. There will be a vastly unpleasant wake up call.

If human beings were really progressive creatures, then all boys would be smarter, healthier, and, wealthier, than their grandfathers.

Yes, yet most old school conservative Republicans blame Democrats even now for this awful regime and won’t cut and run from the Republican Party up and down the ballot. The wealthier ones continue to deliver money into the arms of the regime’s enablers.

Trump has most all Republicans’ support.

ICE: The TrumpReich's tool that uses a gang of sociopathic white supremacists to spread fear into the general population while making a few rich white supremacists wealthier.

the answer to the question, "what if someone was just as evil as the My Pillow guy but far wealthier & didn't have a debilitating cocaine addiction"
After the 2020 election, Larry Ellison joined a call to strategize on overturning the vote for Trump and donated to election deniers. Now he controls CBS and wants CNN’s parent, raising new questions this week as his influence grows.

Ellison and the Lie
As Larry Ellison’s media empire expands, unanswered questions about his views on the 2020 election now carry real stakes as Jan. 6 is reframed and the next presidential race approaches.

None of my wealthier friends are Asian and care about rice like that

With that reasoning, many people in Congress would not serve, but the fact of the matter is, I would love to know of a single seating member of Congress that isn’t wealthier when they leave office then when they came in. Believe whatever you want, but most of them grift off of their position.

Gotta target the wealthier folks and luxury items. Currently the people who are keeping most quarterly profits above water are people with disposable income—which in this day and age means affluent people.

Making the most comfortable people uncomfortable has historically inspired the most change.

May I ask a genuine question? I'm just curious to know how often would a sight like this be on the streets of America before the present troubles? Do people feel safer having these people in armoured vehicles driving through their towns? Have ICE activities made any American safer or wealthier?

I think there's also a historical pattern of how broad the franchise was - e.g. is your political system old enough that the parties developed positions when only the wealthier 20% of the populace had the vote?

So when people say, "housing is an investment" they mean, "owning real estate is a way for already wealthy people to become wealthier without doing any work."

as an aside, it’s funny how common it is to see men and women in relationships where the woman is smarter, wealthier, and more organized, but both of them play a pretend game where the man is in charge so they get to feel like men and women. except it’s not funny because misogyny is mind control

Brother, you own a home. The idea that I’m wealthier than you is insane. I don’t need to “address my own situation”, as this isn’t about individual choices, but structural issues.

Restricting supply increases prices. We know this. Overlays restrict supply. We know this, too. It’s not hard.
January 10, 2026 at 9:02 PM
Correlation isn't causation. Please supply evidence that overlays CREATE increasing Whiteness & wealth in neighborhoods, and, of course, you would need to address your own situation. You moved into an Historic Overlay neighborhood, and, though you are REALLY White, you are barely wealthier than am I

Suicide Rate Per Italian Region

Why do you think the rate in the south is so much lower than the north despite the north being far wealthier than the south?

The reason she was not identified at birth as having a DSD is probably due to less thorough and advanced OBGYN practices where she was born. In wealthier nations, doctors would flagged her case and subjected her to testing.

PAV wants to supply Latin Americans in Zaporizhzhia, which is all too hot and all too underserved. Unlike volunteers from wealthier countries, they don't have friends and family back home who can afford to help fill the supply gaps. To help:

There is a sort of persistent undercurrent of racism & classism in this country. Bad things happen to people of colour and the poor which whiter, wealthier people never notice. Not until those bad things begin happening to the whiter ones does wider society start paying attention.
January 10, 2026 at 4:39 PM
You can't define class in relation to the median, it's about relationship to money, disposable income etc. You can have a society with a tiny middle class (mostly substance farmers) or a huge one (mid-century US) or, now, a shrinking one because so many people are getting wealthier.

Fun fact: reward credit cards creat a river of money going from poorer red rural areas directly to wealthier blue areas.

This violates international law.
It throws the door wide open to further US aggression.
It destroys diplomacy.
It’ll gut the Venezuelan economy. It’s the unjustified action of an aggressive nation.
It’s another way to make the wealthy wealthier.
It’s wrong on every level.
January 10, 2026 at 3:27 PM
But here’s the thing — society is getting wealthier, and the ranks of the mass affluent are growing, but the supply of tier 1 leisure experiences isn’t growing so those companies are rationing demand via price. I’m not sure what the specific policy answer/shortcoming is.
January 10, 2026 at 2:41 PM
Yes. And while the activity has largely been centered on areas with large non-white populations, there has absolutely been ICE activity in whiter, wealthier areas of the metro, including St. Louis Park and Golden Valley, which have large Jewish populations.

Bærum si actually quite mixed, with immigrants living in blocks of flats / rekkehus and wealthier white Norwegians living in standalone houses / twins. Sometimes those areas are on the opposite sides of a road, like where I live. But we send kids to the same kindergartens / schools.

These people realise that twitter belongs to Musk, not to them, right? You cannot cede space that isn't yours.

Staying makes Musk and his allies even wealthier and more influential. Leaving is the right choice.
