Lol. Just got permabanned from r/whatisthisrock for the most RIDICULOUS reason. Overzealous Reddit mods are like shoes made out of sandpaper.

r/whatisthisrock is very relaxing despite the rest of reddit

I used to be salty when my tattoo artists took forever (or never) posted my tattoo to socials, now i get salty because nobody IDs my submissions to r/whatisthisrock

here’s a few pulls from my bookshelf. i feel like some have gone missing though. also r/whatisthisrock is a great resource for the learning identification and distinguishing fake from real

I'm not an expert, but the left looks like sodalite and the right looks like some kind of crackled amethyst. r/whatisthisrock helped me a lot when I started IDing all my crystals!

I'm thinking it's an agate, but I'm not sure.

I wonder if the red bit is just feldspar or carnelian. Second photo is under black light. I think this is a 100x zoom. Anybody know #whatisthisrock #rockidentification #geology

I can’t wait for this to start showing up in r/whatisthisrock

now that's interesting

don't think fossil though.

the 'carved' away parts look too parallel

if you don't find any answers here, r/whatisthisrock is actually good for this shit, if you can stomach reddit.

I'm subscribed to r/Crystals and r/whatisthisrock on Reddit because I am interested in the cool shiny rocks

But lately about 9/10 posts are literally just "hey is this orange/yellow quartz ~real citrine~ or heat treated amethyst" and it's driving me bananas.

Next time someone on a dating app asks what my hobbies are, I’m just going to tell them the only four I Reddit communities I follow are:
r/DeuxMoi, r/whatisthisrock, r/metaldetecting and r/wheeloffortune.
