Outdoor air breathability has been a problem for quite awhile in the Fairbanks area. The particulates (PM2.5) have been monitored year round.Due to cold air inversions in subzero weather that can be exacerbated by woodstove smoke, monitoring data are pubically available: www.epa.gov/outdoor-air-...,
PM2.5 Continuous Monitor Comparability Assessments | US EPA
This tool provides a one-page technical report that assesses the comparability of a PM2.5 continuous monitor when collocated with an FRM sampler

Update on the AI oven: it never worked, even once, even without using the AI features. Have been waiting for three weeks now for the repair guy to come. I want a gas oven, or maybe a woodstove, or maybe I will bake potatoes in embers on the kitchen floor, or maybe I will learn to eat them raw

The explosion I heard earlier today was the neighbors grand kid putting a hairspray container into their woodstove.
They are now currently borrowing my kerosene heater until they can get their chimney and all inspected

I'm very pleased that you have overcome challenges. Proofreading is still a good idea, it is important for good written communication for everyone.

And you can put your ableism accusations in your woodstove because you don't know me any more than I know you.

This is not summer. Lighting the woodstove at 8 am and turning the fans on at 5 pm is just nuts.

Stays firmly inside with his woodstove well-stoked and a large pot of something hot (soup, stew, mulled cider...) going. Ruathyr doesn't fare well in cold weather but he never minds being snowed in. Only the trickiest weather catches him off guard, and he has plenty set aside for food and focus.

Oh no, the area you wol/oc lives in just got hit with 60cm of snow and a -30c wind chill!

What do they do?

I wish the woodstove transferred heat throughout the house, it's really just good for one room and the other 2 fireplaces need repairs before they're safe to use. We rock maximum inefficiency here.

Right? I'm grateful for the provisions I always stock, the woodstove and all that, but there is zero infrastructure to handle any of this on the roads out here in the rurals! It is absolutely gorgeous if you have crampons and the proper clothing though...

I don't know how I'd be making it through this cold snap without our woodstove. Our regular gas heat can heat the house just as well, but the woodstove is cozy vibes, something to tend, makes me feel like winter has its own joys.

Please enjoy this cat named Tommy basking in front of a woodstove. May we all experience warmth and bliss like this in our lives.
