IM ELLEN web name 1chidoh, some call me one cheeto, I'm making a solo dev game called Rivals in Rock: Path of the Wolf, I also love to draw my D&D characters

Currently Art Director at @studiohitsuji.bsky.social I also do freelance & short-term contracts. Visit linktr.ee/1chidoh for commission info!
A poster I made using concept sketches of characters from my solo dev project. Wolfgang, frontman and guitarist. Passionate about music and cares deeply for the ones he loves, but has a dangerous temper. Isaac on bass, a fiery thrash metalhead who doesn't know how to keep his voice down. Then last but not least Farah, the drummer. A bookworm who keeps to herself and tried to act like the calm and collected one, but can be just as wild as her bandmates when her favorite song plays on the radio. The rival band for my game, matching the previous image

From left to right:

Gabe on drums, a music prodigy who graduated college at 19. He sees music in a more technical sense and makes sure to remind everyone around him that he’s highly educated in music theory.

Georg, the rhythm guitarist. A theater kid from Europe who has a more dramatic approach to performing on stage than his more collected bandmates.

Mauve, the frontwoman who sings while on keys, she likes to present herself to the public as if she were truly a vampire and keeps details of her personal life on the down low.

Adam, the lead guitarist. A former member of Path of the Wolf. He’s popular with the fans for his reserved attitude and pretty face. He just wants to keep his past behind him.

Rueby, the bassist. Former model turned musician. Rueby quickly learned bass in order to qualify as a member of Scarlet Tears in order to climb the ladder of fame. Enemy designs I did for Glass Bottom Games of various small animal villains wearing medieval clothes. Key art I did for Studio Hitsuji

Three gooey creatures in the shape of humans float side by side in a character line up. Behind them are a strip of scenery, showing floating islands in the sky and a person riding a flying contraption.

Left: Cirrus, Middle: Grandma, Right: Old Man

As a follow-up for artists that do want examples of a license, I offer this one that covers purchases of my commercial stock art. If you want to borrow it in whole or in part for your own license needs, please do. johnlattaart.com/stock-art-co...

This isn't a thing in any creative circles, ever. The only time you don't need to talk to an artist about using their work in your publication is if you buy their stock art, which comes with a license that covers a conversation about rights, usage. This person's explanation is extra ripe bullshit.

he also said that 80% of antifa's members are landlords and if you lower the cost of housing, you basically starve the network of its financing

a friend of mine in antifa told me that antifa's headquarters is SHEIN and if the company fell the whole network would fall

maybe instead of buying games on steam they should give their mom rent for the basement their living in.

I'm told the correct procedure here is to close all the forums but one, and make that one forum (which regular people can't post to) contain a locked thread directing users to the community space you can actually control.
Steam's add/edit forums user interface.

One cool feature of Steam is they provide a Harassment Zone for each game you announce. It's a place for people who hate progress to come and crap all over games they haven't even played. No, they won't help you moderate it, but hey, at least you can't delete it!

all discourse aside, there is one machine with consciousness. it's printers. they are alive and conscious and they hate you and they'd take your arm clean off if you let them. never trust a printer.

In honor of Edgar Allan Poe's 176th deathday, here are a few of my recent pieces inspired by Poe's works 🫀
Illustration by Abigail Larson depicting a scene from Edgar Allan Poe's poem "Annabel Lee". Two lovers embrace at the edge of the sea, water splashes around them and the surrounding rocks. A full moon shines over them, and storm clouds loom.

Rats have swarmed around him, chewing the ropes that hold him down. This illustration is featured in "Sticker Jigsaw: The Edgar Allan Poe Collection" for Macmillan Books. Illustration by Abigail Larson for Macmillan's "Edgar Allan Poe Sticker Jigsaw" book. The illustration is a scene from Edgar Allan Poe's poem, "The Raven". The narrator is at the center of the image looking up at at raven perched above an open doorway. Behind the narrator is a tall window with red curtains, and the ghost of Lenore lurks nearby. A black cat is watching the scene from the lower right corner.
