Oh how I miss when "block and move on" was the dominant ethos about such yahoos on here. It seems like the folks who were loudest about that during the great migration are the main ones engaging with schlock and bots these days. It makes me feel like I missed a monetization memo or something.

Btw it's not up to you to decide for others whether any alcohol has cooked off enough (in this case, the cake would likely be soaked in rum anyway bc that's how you make a damn rum cake). Even if it cooked off, the taste/smell can still be there & can be enough of a trigger. Just don't be a dick.

Hey, don't serve consumables that have substances in them without telling the people doing the consuming. Not only is it a dick move regardless of others' sobriety status, you can really hurt someone in myriad ways by doing this.

I’ve seen this posted a few different places - as somebody over a decade sober this would piss me off and I would cease contact with that sister.

It’s not funny - nor a joke - this is abuse.

Tik tok post where a young man was served rum cake at a five year olds ?!?! Birthday party and not told. He was also five years sober and didn’t know it was rum cake until he ate it.
