This story took the wind out of me in 2019 and for some reason didn’t get as much air time as many of the other horrific police shootings that occurred in innocent people’s homes.

Today in 2019, 28-year-old Atatiana Jefferson was playing video games with her nephew when a neighbor called a non-emergency number to report that her front door was open. A white police officer shot & killed Atatiana through her window while responding. The officer was found guilty of manslaughter.

The vaccine contains weakened versions of the viruses they protect against—inducing an immune response without causing disease. Children in the U.S. receive the vaccination twice—first at 12–15 months old, and then at 4–6 years old.

Yep, and of course those extra visits, copays, and time away from work will disproportionately affect rural folks and those with household material hardship, resulting in more financial toxicity, delays in or missed care, and more breakthrough infections among people with the least access to care.
