The root of the problem is that the UK is not a nation. It is the remnant of a former "Great Power", the British Empire. Great Britain is in fact an island which many nations share. Many Brits hanker after the empire of old. Their social attitudes and politics also belong to that era.

Disband the BBC. Devolve media and broadcasting to the Senedd and bring S4C under the remit of the Welsh Govt. We should look to diversify the Welsh broadcasting landscape like the Basques have. 5 channels & 6 radio stations on a budget of €125M. Why can't we do similarly?
