I am tired of hearing how women are afraid

If you check statistics, you will find out that men are the main victims of violent crime. Yet we keep hearing how many women are afraid for their safety. All men know you need to take some precautions, and do it. And yet, way too many people pretend men can walk around safely, while women need to be very cautious. Tell that to all the men who get assaulted, and/or killed on the streets.
Such morons are doing a disservice to women and men.
Women feel they are in more danger than they really are, which is stressful. And men are being treated as offenders simply based on their sex. It also prevent society to engage with the real issue of male on male violence as men are allegedly already safe.
It is so hard to check basic statistics?

The biggest pitfall is in this society, most people operate on your attractiveness markers (by whatever standard they operate on) being part of how human you get treated, how consumable you get treated, or how disposable you get treated.

Anyway, part of that undoing the conditioning is going "How much does this attraction, actually, matter?" Like if you're running around with unrealistic desires, you're walking around with a warped mentality about how to treat people, including yourself.

In the 90s, the standard of what was attractive in the media, vs. the attractive people in my community, was so vast, it was wild.

Understand; mainstream white media would point to a gymnast and say "she's too fat".

I think what's bothering me about all these statements I'm seeing from politicians that are variations of "Israeli hostages and Palestinians are returning to their homes, yay" is that Israelis are returning to their homes and Palestinians are returning to uninhabitable post apocalyptic rubble.
