He is done playing Battlefield and we have just settled in to watch Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow from the very beginning. This might be a perfect Friday night

Bahahaha my brother's brother-in-law just sent me this one

My guess is that most of it ends up resolved in ADR somewhere. I don't hate your language assuming the contract is between parties with different industry standards of commercial reasonableness.

What irritates the shit out of me is we'll define FINRA in a submission TO FINRA

I'll allow "commercially reasonable" but only because securities people are constantly fighting about whether individual trades are reasonable if someone loses money and gets big mad about it (so, every day)

"if a party's representative is denied access to the US" is the kind of thing you'd ding a 1L for being precious about in a legal writing class as recently as October 2024

Spelling errors aside, the judge really did just come right out and say "the song slaps and the whole country agrees with me"

My gas mileage is not comparable to a plug in hybrid but I get 22pmg and I know with 100% certainty that my parked car has been hit by multiple strangers but it doesn't matter that someone punched a hole in my bumper at the grocery store parking lot because I don't have any cameras in there.

the environmental impact of this is mixed because newer cars have vastly improved emissions (whether EV or not) so scrapping an old car often dramatically improves per-mile impact, but a huge question is whether newer cars actually stay on the road longer as they get more expensive to repair

But I am also generally anti all white sneakers for women in sundresses unless the sneakers are canvas because white leather sneaks with a sundress look insane
batmansrobyn.bsky.social
This is the correct take. Men can wear white sneakers if they are actively playing a sport or doing scrummy housework but other than that, nah

Lot of people confidently missing the point in the replies to this: if every cent of Elon musks net wealth was liquid, which it isn’t, that’s not even enough money to run the govt for two weeks. The problem less that they have money, and more how they use that money in destabilizing ways.

“The problem with billionaires isn’t that they’re hoarding money that would otherwise pay for a Scandinavian social utopia. It’s that their money has become a source of wildly distorted political power that allows a few men with extremist views to wreak havoc on the rest of us.”

It is frankly strange to be this obsessed with college if you no longer attend one and do not work in education. More people in legacy media need to be told that.

And who is the author of this op-ed? The billionaire CEO of an asset management firm who helped author the compact.

mad respect for an exec to correctly identify the scrimblo that is Poliwhirl, decades before the basic tenants of scrimbology would be established, such as, 'I like him' and 'he's just a lil guy'

Every once in a while, I see people wonder why, out of all of the available Pokémon to choose, Poliwhirl was so often shown front and center. Especially in the case of Pokémon's marketing in America.

Well, I'm going to do my best to answer that question now.
