It's such a crime that we teach Shakespeare in middle & high school by just making kids read the plays cold with a bunch of annotations they have to look over at every 10 words, rather than showing them the plays being performed first so they can absorb the *feel* of it

I'll grant that in retrospect CARES was inarguably correct, but only because I don't think there's a world where J6 succeeded (the military already sort of couped him *without* him having lynched half of Congress) so US democracy wasn't *quite* at the brink yet
