This is correct -- why would I want you off dialysis when every single one of those 5 hour sessions represents a significant chunk of revenue for me? A bit of model shaping by killing the requirement that trained medical staff be on-hand full-time and pow, print the checks and dispose of the bodies.

A fun wrinkle in this is that we already have universal healthcare: for dialysis. Doesn't get you a new kidney but it does mean that poor dialysis patients are infinite money trees. Usually for DaVita but I'm sure parkland health too

When TX Democrats left the state to block the TX House quorum and prevent laws that Republicans forced on them, Trump wanted the FBI to arrest them, take them to the Texas House, put them in handcuffs and force them to approve the bills.
